How to play The Hunt?

The Hunt is played from 2 teams against eachother. Preferably an even number.
Each team consists of 2 - 6 people. You can play for 9.50 pp with 6 people in one team.

The 90-minute game is divided into two equal rounds. In one round, you're a dangerous criminal; in the other, a clever hunter. Who will outsmart whom?
In the app you will see a map with all the locations where safes can be cracked. The more valuable the safe, the longer it takes to crack. But be careful! Hunters will try to catch you.
Every 5 minutes and whenever a crime is committed, the criminals' positions are revealed. Can you trace their path to cleverly arrest them and deliver them to the police station?

FAQ The Hunt

How many people play in one team?

We recommend playing in teams of 2 to 6 people.

Why do you play in an even number of teams?

To ensure a fair battle between hunters and criminals, you play with an even number of teams. This way, each round has an equal number of hunter and criminal teams. So playing is possible from 2 teams!

Where can I play The Hunt?

The Hunt can be played in any city, town, or neighbourhood of your choice. Make sure that the location is larger than 5000 m2 and consists of multiple streets. A forest is unsuitable due to low mobile coverage.

When ordering, you can enter your preferred location. For example you choose Amsterdam? Then we will set the game in the city center by default. Would you prefer a different location in Amsterdam? No problem! Mention it under ‘Location’ in the order notes, and we’ll arrange it! Feel free to contact us by e-mail or telephone!

What is the playing time of the city game?

The Hunt last 90 minutes by default. You play in two rounds of 45 minutes each, so you experience both roles; criminal and hunter. Want to play longer? Call or email us before you start, and we’ll extend the time. We offer this service for free!

Is a break possible?

Yes! The Hunt consists of two rounds of 45 minutes each. After the first round, a break is automatically scheduled. Decide with all teams beforehand whether you want to continue right away or take a break. If you choose to pause, you can decide the duration and location yourselves. Ready to play the second round? Simply click 'start,' and the game continues!

In which languages can you play The Hunt?

You can play The Hunt in English, Dutch and German.

What do we need to play?

Per team you need one charged smartphone with mobile internet (4G/5G) and your GPS location must enabled. Install the free app in advance via the App Store or Google Play, you will receive the link together with your unique game code in the confirmation email.

Important: Turn Wi-fi off and mobile data on otherwise the game will not work properly.

And don’t forget: a good sense of humor and at least one puzzle genius in your team help!

Until when is the game code valid?

Your game time will only start when you press start. Until then, your game code is still valid.

What if we experience technical issues during the game?

It is very rare that someone experiences technical problems. First check if you have turned off your WiFi and your mobile data and GPS location on your phone!
